INNOV8, a project of the Greater Lafayette Chamber of Commerce, is an eight-day festival of innovation and creativity hosted by the community of Lafayette, Louisiana at venues throughout the city from Friday April 19 to Friday April 26, 2013.
INNOV8 events focus on our creative economy, entrepreneurship, education, healthcare, technology and innovative endeavors from business start-ups to established success stories, from digital interactive technology to art and music. INNOV8 brings together the best and brightest in a creative setting focused on learning and sharing ideas. It serves as a conduit for creativity and a showcase for talented thinkers that make the region a unique place to live and work. To promote cross-pollination among creative thinkers from diverse fields, INNOV8 attendees are encouraged to attend events within and outside of their specific area of interest.
INNOV8 activities wrap-up just as Festival International begins, allowing visitors to attend both events. With attendance in the hundreds of thousands, Festival International has been rated the best World Music Festival in North America. Both INNOV8 and Festival International are free and open to the public.*
